President Andrés Manuel López Obrador spent his Saturday touring the archaeological site of Tulum, located in Quintana Roo. During his visit, he took particular note of the restoration efforts taking place at various historical locations.
Sharing his experience on social media, the President wrote, “From afternoon till dusk, we toured Jaguar Park in the grand archaeological area of Tulum. Many sites, like this temple of crests on the edge of the Caribbean Sea, have undergone restoration.”
Accompanying his post was a photo of him casually dressed in black trousers, a white guayabera, and a matching cap, sitting on the steps of the aforementioned temple.
Earlier in the day, the President was in Calkiní, Campeche, where he oversaw the progress of the Mayan Train operation. He was joined by the Governor of Campeche, Layda Sansores.
