On May 16th, Jorge Rodríguez Méndez, a candidate for the Municipal Presidency of Benito Juárez, joined Alejandro Moreno, the national leader of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), on a work tour of Cozumel and Playa del Carmen. The tour is part of the "Strength and Heart for Quintana Roo" coalition campaign.

Moreno arrived in Cozumel, also known as Swallow Island, just after 3 pm. He held a press conference at the Hotel Casa Mexicana Cozumel, followed by a walk and rally on the island.

Later in the day, Moreno traveled to Playa del Carmen. There, he attended another walk and rally on Xel-Há Avenue in the Guadalupana Colony.

Mildred Ávila Advocates for Financial Education in Mexico
