Puerto Morelos Green Area Saved by Community Action

Municipal officials have stopped the destructive clearing of a large green area near the Cancún-Playa del Carmen highway, at the entrance to Puerto Morelos. The machinery being used for this work was shut down yesterday morning, following a public complaint about the damage being done to the local vegetation.

Members of the Supermanzana 50 community have called for repairs to Lol-Tun street in Cancún, highlighting the community's concerns about the condition of the local green spaces.
