In the upcoming term of the Lázaro Cárdenas administration, there is a push to have the community of Solferino recognized as a 'Magic Town'. This initiative is led by Roberto Puc Ciau, who laments that currently, Solferino is merely a passing point for the thousands of tourists heading to Holbox.

Situated just over 40 kilometers from the port of Chiquilá, Solferino is a treasure trove of natural beauty. The town is home to cork forests, an ancient tree, and the house of a child painter, among other attractions. Unfortunately, these gems often go unnoticed due to a lack of promotion by local authorities. Puc Ciau notes that many tourists pass through daily, yet few stop to explore Solferino or even to buy a soda.

Given its close proximity to the island, Puc Ciau believes it's crucial for authorities to consider recognizing Solferino as a 'Magic Town'. He describes it as a safe community, boasting significant natural beauty that could entice tourists to stay overnight. Puc Ciau concludes by stating, "Imagine the unforgettable experience of staying in the middle of the jungle."
