The Citizen's Council for Culture and Arts of Quintana Roo (CCCAQR) has announced the 2025 Sasil Awards. The awards are designed to celebrate and promote the growth of artists from Quintana Roo.
The Institute of Culture and Arts of Cancun will support the gala, along with sponsors from the cultural and business sectors. The aim of this year's event is to enhance the reputation of the Sasil Awards as a significant recognition at both the state and national level.
The 2025 Sasil Awards will honor artists in various categories, including artistic trajectory, dance, music, theatre, photography, painting, 3D visual arts, sculpture, popular art, prose, poetry, and the Honorary Sasil. The Honorary Sasil is a special tribute to a distinguished artist, selected by the members of the CCCAQR.
The awards aim to acknowledge not only internationally renowned artists who have won awards and certifications, but also those who have lived in Quintana Roo for over four years. These artists, despite their significant contributions, often go unnoticed.
Artists interested in participating can submit their applications until March 7th at 23:00 Quintana Roo time. Submissions can be made in person at the City Theater or through the official website: www.consejociudadanoarteyculturaqroo.com/.
