Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa has called for unity and commitment from all citizens in the wake of the recent municipal election campaigns. During an interview, she reminded the newly elected officials that their duty is to serve all citizens, irrespective of the margin of their victory.

"Whether you won by one vote or a hundred thousand, your responsibility as a public servant extends to everyone. This duty must be fulfilled to the letter," stated Governor Lezama Espinosa. She emphasized the importance of balance in wielding power and pledged to collaborate with all political figures, regardless of the election outcomes.

When questioned about her relationship with the municipality of Solidaridad, where preliminary results suggest that the incumbent PAN mayor Lili Campos was defeated by Estefanía Mercada of the Morena, Verde, and PT parties, Governor Lezama Espinosa said that the relationship will be one of mutual respect.

"Public servants should not be seduced by either money or power," she underscored.

Governor Lezama concluded by stating that the election campaigns ended in "holy peace". Now, it is time for the elected officials to govern for all, working towards the welfare of every citizen without bias. She reaffirmed her commitment to cooperate with all sectors to create an inclusive and effective government for the benefit of all residents of Quintana Roo.
