The Puerto Aventuras Dragon Boat Club and the Outrigger Canoe Club Cancun are gearing up for their next international challenge. They are set to represent Mexico in the Outrigger Canoe Pan American Championship, taking place from November 20 to 24 in Niterói, Brazil. This will be the first time Mexico has participated in this event, with competitors in the OC1, OC3, and OC6 categories.

The team from the Dragon Boat Club includes Francisco, a seasoned coach and competitor with over 26 years of canoeing experience. Other members include Estefy, Itzé, Daria, María, Alfonso, Fernanda, and Mariela. The Outrigger Canoe Club Cancun will also be represented by their coach, Julio, along with team members Óscar, Ceci, Vivían, Montse, Raúl, Pedro, Silvia, Víctor, and Gabo.

This championship will be the second Pan American competition for Puerto Aventuras, who previously won a silver medal in Panama in 2022. With their combined experience and dedication, both teams are committed to making Mexico proud in this continental competition. We wish the Quintana Roo athletes the best of luck as they strive for sporting success in Brazil!
