Quintana Roo's local electoral districts, overseen by the Electoral Institute of Quintana Roo (Ieqroo), have concluded their district counts and issued majority certificates to the newly elected deputies.
Alberto Batun represents district 1, located in Kantunilkín, within the municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas. Districts 2 through 8 represent the Benito Juárez municipality, with Andrea González (district 2), Rubén Carrillo (3), Alexa Murguia (4), Hugo Alday (5), Paola Moreno (6), and Eric Arcila (7) all hailing from the Sigamos Haciendo Historia alliance. Jimena Lasa, the elected deputy for district 8, was nominated solely by Morena.
The Riviera Maya area is represented by four districts. Districts 9 and 10 are based in Playa del Carmen, Solidaridad municipality, with majority certificates received by Euterpe Gutiérrez Valasis and Majo Osorio, respectively. Renán Sánchez was elected in district 11, based on the island of Cozumel, while Silvia Dzul Sánchez was elected in district 12, based in Tulum. All deputies from these four districts are from the Sigamos Haciendo Historia coalition.
Upon receiving her certificate, Silvia Dzul Sánchez expressed her gratitude to the people of Tulum for their trust and pledged to represent their interests before the State Congress. She reinforced her commitment to uphold the values of the families she represents.
The list of elected legislators who received certificates on Thursday, June 6, was completed by José María Chacón in district 13, based in Felipe Carrillo Puerto; Diana Gutiérrez in district 14, and Saulo Aguilar in district 15, both based in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco.
On June 9, the counts of votes for deputies by the principle of proportional representation will be carried out. This will include the allocation and issuance of certificates to fill the remaining 10 deputy positions, completing the 25 spaces of the local Congress.
