Join the Quintana Roo Handicraft Program: Boost Your Craft Business Today!

The Quintana Roo Government, via the Ministry of Economic Development (SEDE), is inviting craft cooperatives and social groups to participate in the Handicraft Diversification and Marketing Program 2025. The program aims to bolster the commercial aspects of craft workshops by offering financial assistance in three stages. These stages include renovating workshop spaces, purchasing commercial equipment, creating signage, and establishing areas for displaying and selling crafts.

This initiative is part of the New Agreement for the Welfare and Development of Quintana Roo, championed by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa. The agreement's goal is to reduce inequality and transform the state, particularly the original Mayan towns. The financial assistance is available to social groups or cooperatives that operate workshops where craft products are sold collectively. These workshops should be located in Quintana Roo or in areas bordering other states.

Eligible participants are individuals who create crafts such as textiles, embroidery, frayed clothing, woodwork, vegetable fiber crafts, and marine material crafts. Preference will be given to those located in rural areas who have not received government support in the current fiscal year. Selected groups will receive financial assistance of up to 120,000 pesos in three stages. This funding will be used to enhance workshop spaces, purchase commercial equipment, create signage, and develop promotional materials. Interested parties can contact the provided phone numbers for more information and to apply. The opportunity to apply will remain open throughout the fiscal year 2025.
