Cancún, Q. Roo.- The Quintana Roo Institute of Mobility (IMOVEQROO) is committed to ensuring the safety and transparency of public and private transportation through random inspections. These checks are conducted without any payment requests from the inspectors.
Under the Quintana Roo Mobility Law articles 189, 190, 192, and 194, inspectors are authorized to verify the documentation of vehicles providing transport services. This includes vehicles booked through digital platforms, ensuring they adhere to the existing regulations.
The purpose of these inspections is to ensure that taxis, digital platforms, and public transport meet safety standards. This allows passengers to travel safely and efficiently.
Inspectors always identify themselves with their official badge and clearly explain the reason for the inspection. This is done to ensure the safety of both drivers and passengers.
It's important to note that these inspections are conducted to safeguard users and roads without any additional payments. If any irregularities or illegal charges are detected, citizens are encouraged to report them immediately through the Quintana Roo Denunciation Line at 800 84 977 84, available from 9:00 to 17:00 hrs.
These measures are intended to build trust and ensure that transportation in the state operates under optimal conditions, with the safety and well-being of users as the top priority.
