State Deputy Eric Arcila and Senator Eugenio Segura have unveiled the Youth Transformation Initiative to the 18th Legislature of the state Congress. This initiative aims to guarantee young people their first work experience.

The proposal includes plans to reform the First Job Promotion Law and establish the First Work Experience Promotion Law. This will ensure that the responsibilities given to young people align with their academic background.

Arcila stressed the need to convert this access into a fundamental right. Meanwhile, Segura highlighted that this initiative addresses a long-standing issue concerning the youth of Quintana Roo.

The proposal also includes provisions for participating businesses to receive tax incentives for creating new job opportunities.
