“Quintana Roo Youth Embrace Maya Train for Bright Careers”

The announcement of the Maya Train project in Quintana Roo has sparked enthusiasm among local youth, who view it as an opportunity to build their careers as engineers. This federal initiative has significantly boosted the state's economy, with over 200 billion pesos invested. The project has been hailed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador as a sign of gratitude for the contributions Quintana Roo has made to Mexico.

In response, many young people have enrolled in middle and higher education institutions to prepare for careers related to the Maya Train project. Fields of study include Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electromechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. These are offered at the Technological Institute of Chetumal and other schools, providing a foundation for a Railway Technical career.

The project's economic impact will be immediate, attracting tourists and generating significant service revenue. Graduates from local universities will play a pivotal role in leading Quintana Roo's growth. Several educational institutions have started offering courses related to the Maya Train Project. The Technological Institute of Chetumal has enrolled 433 students this year, with many studying for degrees in Engineering and Architecture. Notably, 32 percent of these students come from rural communities.

Brandon Sabas Barrientos Ramos, an Architecture student at the Technological Institute of Chetumal, has always been interested in math and architecture. He sees the Maya Train project as an opportunity to work on large-scale architectural projects in the future, particularly in Playa del Carmen or Tulum.
