The body of Raúl Becerril Fonseca, reported missing in Tulum since January 19th of this year, has been found. As a result, the search for him has been called off. Fonseca was a 44-year-old Mexican man, described as light-skinned and of a sturdy build.
Fonseca was known for his dark green eyes and short dark brown hair. He weighed 95 kilograms and stood 1.70 meters tall. A distinguishing feature was a scar on his back. At the time of his disappearance, he was last seen wearing a sleeveless black shirt, black pants, and orange shoes.
With the discovery of his body, the missing person case for Fonseca in Quintana Roo has been officially closed. While the cause of his death remains unknown, his passing adds to the growing number of fatalities in Tulum. The municipality, under the governance of Diego Castañón, has seen a significant rise in insecurity, according to local residents.
