The Indigenous Affairs Unit is working to address this problem. It is currently conducting a population count across all communities. This will help determine the number of families in each settlement and the services they have access to.
The Unit has made significant progress since the start of the current administration. Initially, only 32 communities were recorded. However, thanks to the representatives of these communities, many more have been identified and included in the government's public policies.
