Massive Search Operation for Missing Individuals in Felipe Carrillo Puerto

The National Guard is actively involved in the operation.

State and federal authorities have launched a search operation in the southern region of Felipe Carrillo Puerto for missing individuals. This follows an alleged shootout in Bacalar, which prompted a swift response from the Army and the National Guard.

The operation involves all three levels of government and is aimed at locating missing individuals in the Maya area of Quintana Roo. The search is primarily focused on the southern region of the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, specifically the X-Hazil Sur – Chan Santa Cruz – Noh Bec stretch. Notably, a decomposed body was discovered in this area at the end of last month. As of yet, it remains unclear whether the body has been identified.

Both state and federal authorities are actively participating in the operation.
