An armed attack was carried out on a bar located in the Ejido neighborhood of Playa Del Carmen. The attack, which took place around 9:30 am, was perpetrated by unidentified individuals who opened fire on the bar's facade before fleeing the scene.

The bar, known as "El Bar", is situated at the junction of Juarez Avenue and 70th Avenue. Following the incident, at least ten spent bullet casings were found scattered on the asphalt of Juarez Avenue.

In response to the attack, local police cordoned off the area to preserve the crime scene. Despite the severity of the incident, there were no reported injuries or fatalities, with the only damage being to the facade of the bar.

The crime scene was subsequently secured by the State Attorney General's Office, who took over the collection of evidence. As of now, there have been no arrests in connection with the attack. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but it is speculated that it may be related to the notorious practice of collecting 'floor rights'.
