“Dive into Adventure: Join the Xel-Há Triathlon in Riviera Maya!”

Exciting news for all triathlon enthusiasts! The 14th annual Xel-Há Triathlon is now accepting registrations. The event is set to take place over two days, from November 16th (Olympic triathlon) to November 17th (sprint, children's, and beginner's triathlon).

This year, participants can register through two channels: the Asdeporte sports events platform and the official website, triatlonxelha.com. Over the past 14 years, the Xel-Há Triathlon has gained recognition as a significant competition for both national and international athletes.

For the tenth year in a row, the Mexican Triathlon Federation has selected Xel-Há as the host for the National Categories Championship, a testament to the event's consistent quality and prestige. The triathlon has also set a standard for sustainable tourism recreation, joining the Mexican Triathlon Federation's initiative to classify triathlon as a Green Sport.

Sustainable practices are encouraged, including the use of chemical-free sunscreens, waste separation, and reduction of printed materials. Furthermore, all registration fees will be donated to the Flora, Fauna y Cultura de México organization, reflecting the sustainability values of the event's organizer, Grupo Xcaret.

The event will be held at Xel-Há Park, which is known for its flora and fauna conservation programs. These programs include monitoring and specialized treatment for species like the melipona bee, the pink snail, bay fish, and mammals such as the manatee. Since 2000, the park has implemented reforestation processes and comprehensive water management with five treatment plants.
