Sitravem, an elevator maintenance company, has been accused of negligence leading to the tragic death of a young girl named Aitana. The incident occurred last year in IMSS hospital 18 when Aitana was crushed by an elevator. The company is now appealing a ruling related to a protection order they filed, while Aitana's parents continue to seek justice.

The company, Soluciones Integrales de Transportación Vertical en México (SITRAVEM), responsible for elevator maintenance, has contested the decision to reinstate their contract, which they found unfavorable.

As per case file 748/23-20-01-6, the Caribe and Cancún Auxiliary Chamber decided to annul the protection order filed by SITRAVEM against IMSS. The order was intended to prevent the termination of their contract and to continue receiving a substantial fee of 1.835 million pesos for maintaining elevators in hospitals in Playa del Carmen, Chetumal, and Cancún.

It's important to note that following the termination of their contract, SITRAVEM, held accountable for the death of the young girl in July, filed a lawsuit against IMSS. However, the Caribe and Cancún Auxiliary Chamber rejected SITRAVEM's claim.
