The Tourism Certification Directorate of the Ministry of Tourism has granted hotel classification certificates to six hotels currently under construction along the Maya Train route in southeast Mexico, including one in Tulum. This announcement was made during a recent presentation of tourism quality awards in Cancun.

The official representative revealed that these certifications were granted based on the high-quality planning and development of these tourist projects, which are being built in conjunction with the Maya Train. The hotels along the Maya Train route will carry 3 and 4-star ratings, providing a variety of options for different budgets.

These hotels will offer a range of amenities and services, from standard rooms to luxury suites, ensuring a high-quality lodging experience for all visitors traveling the Maya route. It's important to note that the hotels are currently about 50 percent complete and are projected to be finished by the end of 2024.
