A Global Recognition for Artisanal Craftsmanship
Each year, the World Drinks Awards highlight the best individuals and products in the global beverage industry. For the 2025 edition, thousands of entries across all drink categories were meticulously evaluated by an expert judging panel.
In the final stage of the competition, national winners will compete for the title of Best in the World, with results to be announced on June 4, 2025.
The Essence of Solferino Native
Solferino Native is a unique artisanal spirit from Quintana Roo. Distilled in copper alembics in small batches, it incorporates fresh botanicals harvested in the local area. Free from chemicals and preservatives, the production process ensures quality and authenticity, capturing the essence of Mexican nature in every sip.
Key botanicals, all locally sourced for maximum freshness, include:
- Lemon grass
- Spearmint
- Hoja santa (Mexican pepperleaf)
- Black pepper
- Rosemary
- Grapefruit peel
These ingredients complement traditional gin components such as juniper, licorice, and cinnamon.
Serving Recommendations
For an optimal gin and tonic, a ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 is recommended—one part gin to three or four parts tonic. Adjustments can be made based on personal preference to either emphasize or soften the gin’s flavor profile.
Nutritional Considerations
Artisanal spirits like Solferino Native typically have low carbohydrate and sugar content, making them a favorable choice for those monitoring caloric intake. A standard 1.5-ounce serving contains approximately 97 calories and less than 0.1 grams of carbohydrates, as most sugars are converted to alcohol during distillation.
