On June 2, the citizens of Solidaridad will elect their next Municipal President. Five candidates are vying for the position: Lili Campos, Estefanía Mercado, Jazmín Treviño, Sixto Cuevas, and Pedrito Lovi.

Lili Campos, representing the "Force and Heart for Quintana Roo" alliance of the PAN and PRI, aims to double the number of surveillance cameras in Solidaridad to a total of one thousand. She also plans to construct two new security checkpoints at the municipality's borders with Tulum and Puerto Morelos to deter crime. Campos proposes the formation of a Specialized Police Group to combat extortion, composed of specialists trained in intelligence and strategies.

Under her Safe Connected Commerce program, businesses can request a panic button connected to the municipal command and control center (C2). Campos also plans to build a C4 Intelligence Center to enhance intelligence efforts, improve crime-fighting strategies, and expedite emergency response. She proposes to add 500 new police officers and patrol cars and to expand the Neighborhood Committee program for security.

For the youth, Campos plans to create coworking spaces, a student bike lane, free transportation, scholarships for extreme sports practitioners and entrepreneurs, and incentives for higher education. She also proposes the "Solidarity Youth Card" and the construction of youth development centers.

For women, Campos intends to establish a new Secretary of Equality, offer verbal credits at a 0% rate, build houses and temporary shelters for victims of abuse, and establish five new violet points. She also plans to increase the number of panic buttons, childcare facilities, and launch the Pink Transportation and the Women's University Scholarships program.

Estefanía Mercado, representing the "Let's Keep Making History in Quintana Roo" coalition from Morena, PT, and PV, proposes direct support for needy families through food pantries under the "Full beach, happy heart" plan. She plans to offer direct aid to single mothers, scholarships to university students, and expand services at Adult Centers.

For security, Mercado plans to strengthen the Violet Police, build surveillance booths, incorporate technology for municipality monitoring, increase the number of police officers with human rights training, and enhance crime prevention.

Mercado also proposes an urban transformation and inclusive infrastructure by investing 900 million pesos in public works for the municipality. She plans to create transformation brigades to rescue public spaces, update the PDUs, regularize human settlements, and establish new parks and inclusive urban equipment.

Under her Honest Government initiative, Mercado plans to digitize municipal procedures, involve citizens in the participatory budget, and streamline the permit process.
