In Solidaridad, Quintana Roo, a food assistance campaign has been launched by President Lili Campos and the Comprehensive Family Development System (DIF). This initiative aims to provide basic food supplies to individuals identified as needing priority attention.

According to Adriana Cazales Durán, the general director of DIF, the campaign's registration process took place between July 31 and August 2. The campaign focused on specific groups in Puerto Aventuras and Playa del Carmen, including single mothers, pregnant women, seniors, people with disabilities, and residents of rural communities.

Durán explained that the campaign's primary objective is to offer food aid to these groups by delivering essential food items. The selection process was based on identifying those in the population who require priority attention.

The distribution of food aid will occur from August 19 to August 27 at various locations. On August 19, it will take place at the Municipal DIF facilities, followed by Cristo Rey on August 20, Las Torres on August 21, Nuevo Noh Bec on August 22, Villas del Sol on August 26, and Puerto Aventuras on August 27.

Those who registered for the campaign must collect their food aid from the same location where they initially registered. It is crucial that individuals bring their registration folio and official identification (INE) as the process is personal. For those collecting from the Municipal DIF headquarters on August 19, the food distribution will begin at 10:00 a.m.
