The Solidaridad Government is set to launch a series of "Citizen Dialogues", aimed at involving the public in the creation of the Municipal Development Plan (PMD) for 2024-2027. Rolando Méndez Navarro, the Secretary of Planning and Evaluation, announced that the first dialogue will commence on Friday, November 8, at the second dome in the La Guadalupana neighborhood.

Méndez Navarro called on a broad spectrum of society, including students, academics, business people, civil organizations, people with disabilities, senior citizens, the LGTBIQ+ community, indigenous and Afro-Mexican communities, and any social group that generates social consciousness, to participate in these forums. The aim is to ensure their proposals are considered in the PMD. He emphasized the Mayor, Estefanía Mercado's intent to give a voice to those who have been marginalized, enabling them to actively participate in shaping the future of Solidaridad.

“The Mayor's goal is to empower the citizens of Solidaridad, who have long been overlooked by their authorities,” said Méndez Navarro. The first forum will discuss the government's "Shared Prosperity" initiative, with a focus on social development, tourism, infrastructure, urban development, the environment, and economic development. This event will take place on Friday, November 8, at 5:20 p.m., in the second park of the La Guadalupana neighborhood.

Further forums are scheduled throughout November, each focusing on different aspects of the PMD. The "Inclusive Government" forum will take place on November 11, at the dome of the Sports Complex "Luis Donaldo Colosio", discussing topics related to sports, gender equality, culture, arts, finances, institutional strengthening, municipal health, youth, and social development.

The "Recover Peace" dialogue will be held on November 13, at the Polyforum of the Sports Complex "Playa del Carmen", addressing issues related to public security and civil protection. The fourth dialogue, discussing all guiding axes of the Municipal Development Plan, will be held on November 14, at the dome and multipurpose court of the city hall of Puerto Aventuras.

The final forum, focusing on "Urban Transformation and Environment", will take place on November 15 in the Plaza 28 de Julio. Topics will include infrastructure, urban development and the environment, public services, and public works.

Méndez Navarro reiterated his call to the public, stressing that their input can significantly enrich the Municipal Development Plan of Solidaridad.
