Solidaridad Police Level Up with SEDENA Weapons Training

A group of military personnel and police officers in uniform gathered for a briefing at an outdoor training facility.

Solidaridad's police force recently participated in a weapons handling course provided by the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA). This initiative is part of a broader effort by Solidaridad's municipal president, Lili Campos, to enhance and update the skills of the local police force.

The course took place from June 8th to 13th at the State Citizen Security Secretariat headquarters in Chetumal. It provided municipal police officers with training in various areas, including the operation of short and long guns, assembly and disassembly, ballistics, proper handling of duty weapons, and shooting.

Raúl Tassinari, the Secretary of Citizen Security in the municipality, emphasized the importance of these practical and theoretical tools. He explained that they enable police officers to identify and respond to imminent danger effectively, thereby enhancing their performance as first responders.

This training is part of a broader commitment by the municipal government, led by President Lili Campos, to equip officers with the necessary skills to perform their duties. The goal is to improve their abilities and knowledge for the benefit of the safety and peace of Solidaridad's residents.
