“Disappointing Turnout at Cancún Concert: What Went Wrong?”

The Bellakeo Fest 2024, held in Cancún, was expected to draw a crowd of 5,000. However, only 1,000 people turned up to see artists such as Dani Flow and Yeri Mua.

The festival took place at the Cancún Bullring, a venue known for hosting some of the most prominent artists in Mexico's urban music scene. Despite the high-profile lineup, which included Yeri Mua and Dani Flow, the event failed to attract the expected crowd.

The concert was held on July 20th, and the lineup also featured Uzielito Mix. Despite the impressive roster, the local population did not show up in the numbers anticipated. The Bullring, which has a capacity of 5,000, was left largely empty with only about 1,000 attendees.

Photos circulating on social media show the extent of the empty stands and the vast unfilled spaces on the ground. The majority of the attendees were huddled in front of the stage, but they didn't even fill half of the available space.

Social media users pointed to two main reasons for the event's lackluster turnout. Firstly, the event suffered from inadequate promotion. Secondly, the ticket prices were deemed too high. According to the festival's website, the cheapest tickets were priced at 800 pesos, excluding service charges, and these were for a "limited view" area behind the stage. To get a front view of the artists on the track, attendees had to shell out 2,000 pesos. As a result, less than a thousand people ended up attending the Bellakeo Fest 2024.
