The State Attorney General's Office has arrested the alleged orchestrator of a woman's murder in Playa del Carmen. The woman, Mariel G., was reported missing on January 28, 2024, and her remains were found two months later. The suspect, José de Jesús “N”, was apprehended in Chetumal and is believed to have played a key role in the crime.

Investigative Police officers executed an arrest warrant for José de Jesús “N” due to his suspected involvement in the aggravated homicide. The investigations suggest that he was the mastermind behind the murder. The victim's remains were discovered on March 6, 2024, at an irregular property named “Los Sauces”, located in the Puerto Aventuras delegation in the municipality of Solidaridad.

José de Jesús “N” is the third person arrested in connection with the murder. The other two suspects, Jonathan “N” and Luis Esteban “N”, have already been apprehended and handed over to the authorities.

José de Jesús “N” was taken to the facilities of the State Attorney General's Office for further procedures. He will later be transferred to the Municipal Retention Center in Playa del Carmen. There, he will be presented to a Control judge who will determine his legal status.
