In a joint operation, the State Attorney General's Office, the Ministry of Public Security and Citizen Protection, and the National Anti-Kidnapping Commission have arrested Jesus "N". He is suspected of being involved in a murder that took place on a beach on Kukulcán Boulevard on October 2. The arrest was carried out in the Kusamil subdivision as part of the coordinated efforts of the 100-Day Interagency Task Force, which is focused on tackling major crimes in the state.
Jesus "N" is believed to be part of a criminal group led by Zacarías "N", also known as "Skiny". This group was recently disbanded following the arrest of its leader and two financial associates in Mérida on October 17th. Investigations by the Attorney General's Office suggest that the murder occurred when Jesus "N" and another person arrived by jet ski at kilometer 8.5 of the Kukulcán Boulevard. The pair reportedly approached the victim and shot him at close range after leaving the jet skis in a nearby area. They then fled to the Costa Mujeres area, where they abandoned the jet skis in the Continental Zone of Isla Mujeres.
Authorities have also implicated an employee of the company that rented the jet skis used in the crime. This individual is suspected of participating in the murder by providing the equipment used in the escape.
