Two men were killed and two others were injured in a violent incident in Isla Mujeres.

Three suspects were apprehended by the Investigation Police in the La Cristiana neighborhood, located on the mainland of Isla Mujeres. This arrest occurred as part of the ongoing investigation into a violent incident that took place an hour earlier nearby. During this incident, two men were killed and two others were injured.

Authorities were alerted to the presence of three armed individuals in the area. Upon arrival, the officers surrounded and detained the suspects. They also inspected a motorcycle that was being transported on a white truck.

Local Municipal Police officers assisted in securing the area. The State Attorney General's Office, through its homicide unit, took over the subsequent proceedings. The detainees are currently being investigated for any potential connection to the violent incident.

An image has been circulating on social media showing the suspected gunmen fleeing on a black cross-type motorcycle. However, this does not match the motorcycle that was secured during the operation.

Forensic scientists were brought in to process the scene and collect evidence that could shed light on the incident. Meanwhile, investigative officers have begun conducting interviews and reviewing security footage to determine if the detainees are linked to the attack, or if their presence was merely coincidental.

The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) of Quintana Roo will continue with investigations to clarify the incident and to define the legal status of the detainees. The authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional arrests in the coming hours.
