Teenager’s plea: Save her father’s life!

A 16-year-old girl, Kiara Miranda, organized a charity drive a month ago in a desperate attempt to save her father's life. Her father, therapist Javier Miranda, had suffered a heart attack and required immediate surgery at a private hospital. Over 200 donations were collected from family and friends, totaling nearly 300,000 pesos. Additionally, cardiologists from Quintana Roo offered their services free of charge for the operation.

"My father had a heart attack. Thankfully, he survived, but doctors are insisting that he needs immediate surgery," Kiara explained. "We've never asked for help before, but this is a matter of life and death. My dad is a kind man who always helps those in need."

Kiara further explained that without the surgery, doctors estimated her father would only have three weeks to live. The General Hospital informed them that it would be at least 25 days before they received the necessary medical supplies for the operation, which would be too late.

"I'm pleading for your help, whether it's through donations or sharing our story. I'm only 16 and I don't want to lose my dad," Kiara appealed. She launched an online fundraising campaign, reaching out to loved ones, friends, acquaintances, and even strangers for help.

Kiara's father, a dedicated doctor, is known for his love for his job and his continuous learning in his profession. He has helped patients regain their ability to walk and has often aided animals in vulnerable situations.

In less than a month, Kiara's GoFundMe campaign raised 277,000 pesos through 222 donations. This support enabled them to cover the hospital costs and save her father's life. Kiara expressed her deep gratitude to cardiologists Miguel Ángel Yáñez Cortés and Vladimir Ruiz Ronquillo, who performed the surgery without charging any fees.

"This incredible response helped us in our desperate race against time… On behalf of my entire family, thank you so much to everyone," Kiara said in conclusion.
