In the Solidaridad municipality, the local police force conducts regular operations to prevent and deter crimes and administrative offenses. These operations, such as Operation "Orion", are carried out in various parts of Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras. The aim is to detect and seize illegal substances and objects, apprehend individuals with court orders, and recover stolen vehicles, all in an effort to maintain peace and social order.

In a recent operation in the Cristo Rey colony, two men were arrested by the Solidaridad Municipal Police for smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette and possessing 22 packages of suspected narcotics. The suspects, identified as 32-year-old Daniel and 59-year-old Francisco, both from Tabasco, were found with 17 packages of a substance believed to be crystal meth and five packages of what appeared to be marijuana. Following their arrest, they were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office Specializing in Crimes against Health for retail drug trafficking.

In a separate incident in the Ejidal colony, a 22-year-old man from Veracruz, identified as Eduardo, was arrested for possessing 56 suspected doses of narcotics. While patrolling on Avenue 90, officers observed Eduardo removing several packages from a motorcycle compartment, which were suspected to be marijuana. Upon inspection, he was found to have 41 packages of a substance believed to be marijuana, 12 of suspected cocaine, and three of what appeared to be methamphetamine. Like the previous suspects, Eduardo was handed over to the Prosecutor's Office Specializing in Crimes against Health for retail drug trafficking.
