An 18-year-old tourist staying at the Allegro Hotel in Cozumel had a frightening encounter with a crocodile this morning. Murray Anthony was playing volleyball before he decided to take a swim in the sea. Unexpectedly, he was attacked by a crocodile, resulting in a severe leg injury.

Paramedics from a nearby private clinic rushed to the scene and administered first aid. Anthony was subsequently transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.

This incident underscores the need for heightened vigilance on the beaches. Authorities and hotel owners are urged to increase surveillance measures as the presence of crocodiles appears to be on the rise.
