The Secretariat of Territorial Planning has granted zoning and land use permissions for the residential project "Punta Paraíso". The project is set to be located at Conchita Paamul, south of Playa del Carmen and two kilometers from Puerto Aventuras. The Banco Inmobiliario Mexicano S.A. I.B.M submitted the application for this project, which was published in the Official Newspaper of the State on February 16 of this year.
"Punta Paraíso" is a coastal development that will feature residential and condominium areas, a commercial zone, two large lakes for water sports and recreational activities, and roadways. The project will occupy a total area of 34.34 hectares, with 12.01 hectares dedicated to "tertiary activities", which include recreational, sports, leisure, and tourist activities.
The Secretariat has confirmed that the project aligns with the use of "tourist land" as per the Municipal Urban Development Program. The project's promoter is required to submit the entire urban action project in a timely and appropriate manner. It's important to note that this approval does not include a subdivision license or condominium regime, nor does it grant a construction license for any other work or commercial activity.
The authorization was reviewed by Gabriel Eduardo Ronquillo Buendía, the director of Urban Development and Physiognomy, and approved by Carlos Ríos Castellano, the secretary of Territorial Organization of Solidaridad. The real estate project already has a website detailing its future amenities. While the lots cannot yet be sold due to the lack of a subdivision license, there is an "inventory" section on the website where potential buyers can check lot availability.
