The tragic murder of a family of three from Playa del Carmen, reported missing since October 22, has been confirmed. The victims were a father, mother, and their teenage daughter. Their remains were discovered in the community of Vida y Esperanza, part of the Solidaridad municipality.
The family members were identified as Ignacio de la Fuente Martínez, a 27-year-old Mexican national, his wife Rosario Luna Cutz, and their 14-year-old daughter Violeta Alejandra Luna Cutz. Despite rumors circulating for a few days about the discovery of remains, it was only on October 30 that the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) of Quintana Roo officially confirmed their identities.
Ignacio was described as having a clear brown complexion, thin build, black eyes, and short black hair. He was about 1.85 meters tall and weighed around 80 kilograms. Notable features included a lightning bolt tattoo on his right cheek, a clown on the left side of his neck, and the word "Rosario" on his left forearm.
Rosario, the mother, was also of a clear brown complexion and thin build, with short, straight, blonde hair. She was 1.50 meters tall and weighed approximately 50 kilograms. She had brown eyes and several star tattoos on her back and another figure on her belly button. The clothes she was last seen wearing were a white shirt, blue pants, and sandals.
Their daughter Violeta was of Mexican nationality, with a clear brown complexion, medium build, short, wavy black hair, and black eyes. She was 1.55 meters tall and weighed about 60 kilograms. She had butterfly tattoos on the left side of her chest.
Sadly, all three family members were found deceased. The search bulletins for each of them have been deactivated by the State Attorney General's Office of Quintana Roo.
