A horrifying incident of domestic violence occurred in the La Colosio district, where a man brutally attacked his wife, leaving her severely injured. The couple's daughters, who tragically witnessed the assault, have been placed under protective care.

The man, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, arrived home at their residence on 62nd Street and 40th Avenue. Shortly after, a heated argument broke out between the couple, which escalated to the point where the man assaulted his wife with a machete, slashing her throat in front of their two daughters, aged 9 and 10.

Local residents managed to restrain the man and sought out a patrol car to report the incident to the police.

Officers from the Municipal Police apprehended the attacker, while paramedics rushed the critically injured woman to the hospital. The two young girls were taken into the custody of GEAVIG staff, who placed them under the protective care of DIF.
