SHOCKING: Water Leak Catastrophe at Tren Maya!

Following an 18-hour operation, Aguakan, a water supply company, successfully repaired a water leak on Av. Benito Juarez at the intersection of the Tren Maya. The incident was caused by the construction company ICA, who were conducting excavations for a railway bridge.

Around 1:00 pm on August 23, 2024, Aguakan's specialized team arrived at the site to evaluate the damage to the 30-inch diameter supply line. They immediately implemented contingency protocols, drained the line, and cleared the area to begin repairs.

The repair operation, which included installing a stainless steel clamp, filling and ribbing the supply line, and compacting the soil, concluded at 7:00 am on August 24, 2024. The team confirmed the effectiveness of the repair before declaring the operation complete.

However, at noon the same day, Aguakan discovered another water leak a few meters ahead of the previous repair site. This second leak was also on the 30-inch pipeline and was a result of the initial damage caused by ICA. Aguakan's technical staff promptly began repairing this new leak.

The company's crews are working tirelessly to complete all necessary repairs. In the meantime, Aguakan is urging the community to use water sparingly from stored supplies to minimize inconvenience during the ongoing repair work.
