Tulum is rapidly becoming a prime destination for golf tourism, bolstered by recent promotions at the Tulum Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport. This aligns with the annual celebration of National Golf Lovers Day, observed every October.

The airport hosted a range of recreational activities aimed at engaging golf enthusiasts and attracting new fans to the sport, welcoming travelers of all ages. These interactive events were arranged by the expert team at the PGA Riviera Maya Golf Club, situated in the Tulum Country Club. This club has been recognized as one of Mexico's finest golf courses by the World Travel Awards.

Sergio Gonzalez, deputy director of Golf at the PGA Riviera Maya, said, "The presence of a world-class airport in Tulum enables us to provide an unmatched golf experience to our visitors. This easy access draws players not just from the United States and Mexico, but from all over Latin America and soon Europe, reinforcing Tulum's status as a top sports tourism destination."

The blend of the international airport, the PGA Riviera Maya Golf Club, and the marketing strategy under the Visit Tulum brand, supported by the Tulum City Council, has been instrumental in enhancing the golf tourism offering. This collaboration not only encourages more visitors, but also increases Tulum's presence in international exhibitions and digital marketing campaigns.
