The Tulum Municipal Government initiated the third phase of its tree-planting program on La Selva Avenue today. The initiative, led by Municipal President Diego Castañón Trejo and Director of Sustainability Armando Angulo, was carried out with a sense of responsibility.

The plan involved the planting of 120 trees, beginning at the intersection of La Selva Avenue and 6th Street. The project was supported by 20 volunteers and 30 Town Hall members who joined the effort. The goal of the initiative is to raise environmental awareness and promote reforestation efforts in urban areas.

Biologist Roció Peralta, speaking on behalf of Director Armando Angulo and the Red Environmental group, stated that the trees planted were endemic to the region, capable of withstanding the local climate. The Red Environmental group also contributed by donating trees for the project.

Peralta emphasized the importance of continued collaboration on projects that create safer environments. She said, "We will continue to work with the community and groups like Red Environmental for the fourth phase of this project. We welcome anyone interested in joining this initiative to reach out and work with us."
