A public transport van caused an accident in Tulum when the driver cut off a motorcyclist on the main avenue, causing the rider to fall. The incident was immediately reported to emergency services.
The van, operated by the "Caribbean Sharks" taxi union, changed lanes without noticing the motorcycle, which bore the license plate 34UJW and was of the Italika brand. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries as a result of the fall.
Onlookers quickly alerted medical services, and paramedics swiftly arrived at the scene. The injured motorcyclist was transported to Tulum Hospital for treatment.
The National Guard was also dispatched to the scene. They cordoned off the area and began necessary procedural actions. Notably, the Traffic Police were absent from the scene.
