In a statement, it was reported that in order to maintain vehicular flow and avoid affecting the population, the Municipality’s Traffic Directorate has deployed personnel to maintain traffic control in the affected areas.

Access, it was clarified, is not restricted. All vehicles can pass to the south through that area. However, for the return route to the north, only compact cars and trucks smaller than three tons will be allowed through.

Vehicles greater than three tons, such as water or cargo trucks, must exit by way of the new Kukulcán Avenue, in order to reduce traffic in the affected area and avoid further damage to the road.
