The inaugural "Sembrando Vida" local producers market is set to take place in Tulum on August 30. The event will showcase the offerings of over 300 producers and is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dos Aguas Park Dome.

Visitors will have the opportunity to buy fresh, healthy food, handmade crafts, traditional cuisine, and more, all sourced directly from the producers at fair prices. The farmers will be displaying their first harvests of the season, featuring goods such as pitaya, pineapple, lemons, and achiote.

The market is designed to support the "Sembrando Vida" program, which encourages food self-sufficiency and enhances the social wellbeing of farmers. Efforts are currently underway to establish a marketing channel with large supermarkets to ease the sale of these local products.

The public is encouraged to come and learn about the stories behind each producer, all of whom have received agricultural training. The ultimate goal is to foster trade agreements between local producers and large companies, thereby bolstering the region's economy.
