Tulum's "Felipe Carrillo Puerto" International Airport celebrated a significant milestone today with the arrival of its first direct flight from Copa Airlines, originating from the Hub of the Americas in Panama. This new service, which will operate non-stop four times a week, establishes a direct connection between Tulum and the southern region of Quintana Roo with over 60 destinations across Latin America.

Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, along with senior officials from Copa Airlines, enthusiastically welcomed this inaugural flight. They highlighted the significance of this new route for the tourism industry in the state. The direct connection to key cities in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, and Paraguay presents an unprecedented opportunity to attract more visitors to the picturesque destinations in Quintana Roo.

Governor Espinosa stated, "This is a historic day for Quintana Roo. The new route not only significantly enhances our air connectivity but also opens the door to a unique travel experience. It allows visitors to explore our beautiful beaches, cenotes, and the rich culture and gastronomy of the region."
