A significant police response was triggered on Friday night at the junction of Tulum Avenue and Satélite Street, following reports of a shooting at the Caribbean Swing bar. This marks the third attack on the establishment in as many years, with previous incidents occurring on May 3rd, 2023, and July 30th, 2024. Officers from the Municipal Police, Preventive State Police, the Navy, and the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA) worked together to secure the scene and collect evidence. Unlike the previous attacks, no injuries were reported this time.

The latest incident was reported at approximately 9:14 PM on Friday, when local residents called the police. Witnesses at the scene recounted that two individuals in a white vehicle approached the bar. One of them exited the vehicle, fired at the bar's exterior, and then both individuals fled the scene. A single spent shell casing, believed to be of 9mm caliber, was recovered.

The area was immediately cordoned off and the Investigation Police and Forensic Services were alerted. Upon their arrival, they took over the investigation. The bar was previously attacked at around 1:45 AM on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023. One man was killed and three others were injured in that incident.

The Caribbean Swing bar was also targeted on July 30th, resulting in one fatality and four injuries, two of which were severe. The shooting took place inside the bar, located in Tulum's tourist center, at around 11:00 PM.
