Two deceased victims were found on the outskirts of Cancún, both showing signs of violence. They were discovered on a dirt road near the Emiliano Zapata community, about 10 kilometers from a local police checkpoint.

Local residents first noticed the bodies and quickly alerted the authorities via the emergency number 911. This led to a swift response from the municipal authorities.

Upon arrival, medical personnel confirmed the absence of vital signs in both victims. They also noted bullet wounds on various parts of the bodies, as well as signs of torture. These discoveries suggest that the victims may have been abducted in Cancún and then killed in the early hours of Sunday in the area where they were found.

Members of the Federal Prosecutor's Office (FGE) and forensic services were dispatched to the scene to process the area. Following their investigation, they collected the bodies, which have yet to be identified. The bodies will be transported to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) facilities for further examination.
