Foreigners Linked to Shocking Cancún Kidnapping Trial

Two foreign suspects have been connected to a kidnapping case by a Control Judge. The individuals were apprehended at a residence in Cancún, where they were allegedly holding a person hostage. The linking of Yosbel Lázaro “N” and Roinel “N” to the trial is a key development in the case for the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Quintana Roo. Both are accused of being involved in the crime against a man whose identity has been kept confidential.

The suspects are believed to be connected to an incident that took place on April 25 of this year. An anonymous 911 call alerted the police to cries for help coming from a house in the Supermanzana 224 sector of the city. Upon arrival, authorities heard the cries for help from a man and took immediate action. After searching the residence, they found both the victim and the two men at the scene.

The accused attempted to flee but were detained by the police following the victim’s identification of their involvement in the incident. They were then handed over to the Public Ministry for further investigation. After collecting necessary evidence, the Prosecutor’s Office presented the case to a Control Judge. The judge decided to connect the accused to the trial due to their potential involvement in the kidnapping. Additionally, they ordered the suspects to be held in preventive detention for a period of two years.
