A man has been arrested in Cancun for alleged involvement in human trafficking, specifically child pornography. The State Attorney General's Office, working with the National Guard, executed the arrest warrant and simultaneously rescued two potential minor victims.
The accused, identified as Carlos Francisco "N", was discovered during routine online surveillance by the Special Prosecution Office Combating Crimes of Trafficking and Exploitation of Children and Adolescents, in collaboration with the National Guard. They identified a Facebook profile that was creating, sharing, and storing child pornography.
After extensive investigative work, they were able to identify the user behind the profile. A Control Judge then issued an arrest warrant for Carlos Francisco "N". The warrant was executed at a residence in the Benito Juarez municipality's Supermanzana 60.
At the same location, two minors, a girl and a boy, were rescued. They appear in the photos and videos that were in the possession of the accused.
Following the arrest, Carlos Francisco "N" was handed over to the authorities. His legal status will be determined within the constitutional timeframe.
