Masterminds Arrested: Cancun Taxi Union Murder Case Solved

Two men suspected of orchestrating the murder of a Cancun taxi union member have been apprehended. The State Attorney General's Office announced their arrest on Monday, connecting them to the murder that took place in October.

The suspects have been identified as Salomón “N”, also known as “Mafer”, and Óscar Antonio “N”. The incident under investigation took place on October 25th. The victim was reportedly arriving home by taxi when two individuals emerged from two separate vehicles and abducted him.

The victim's lifeless body was discovered on October 30th during a field search. It was found in a green area off the Federal Cancun-Merida Highway, as per the State Attorney General's Office.

Salomón “N” was apprehended in Supermanzana 228, while Óscar Antonio “N” was taken into custody at the Equity Park located at 20 de Noviembre between Chac Mool and Kabah in Supermanzana 221.

Preliminary investigations suggest that these two individuals were the masterminds behind the murder. The arrest was a combined effort by the SSyPC, the Navy, the National Guard, and the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Quintana Roo.

Last week, another suspect, Jonathan Emmanuel “N”, was arrested in connection with the murder of the taxi unionist, José Luis Corral Morales.
