Uber’s Exclusive Breakthrough at Cancun Airport!

Uber has recently confirmed that its drivers in Cancun can now freely pick up and drop off passengers at Cancun International Airport. This development comes after a period of tension and hostility between Uber drivers and local taxi operators.

Uber communicated to its partner-drivers that the company has secured a definitive suspension issued by a judge. This suspension allows Uber drivers to freely operate to and from Cancun International Airport without needing any further authorization, concession, or permission from authorities.

Uber is currently the only ride-sharing app with such a suspension in place. This legal protection safeguards drivers from any authorities who might ask for additional documentation or permissions.

In case of any requests from authorities, Uber has advised its drivers to present the 'trip status' receipt. This can be accessed by navigating to the Security Center in the app, activating the 'Security Features' tool, and then selecting the 'Trip Status' button located at the bottom left.

Uber emphasized that providing this receipt is entirely voluntary. If drivers find themselves in a potentially risky situation, they are encouraged to use the in-app 911 button to contact authorities.

Uber reiterated its commitment to rejecting violence and promoting accessible mobility through technology for all its users. The company now operates freely at Cancun International Airport, with no one able to prevent them from picking up passengers. This operation can only be halted if Uber breaches the definitive suspension granted by the judge.
