“Shocking: Illegal Taxi Fare Chart Seized at Plaza Las Americas!”

Inspectors from the Mobility Institute of the State of Quintana Roo (Imoveqroo) have seized illegal taxi fare charts from Plaza Las Americas in Solidaridad. The move came after local residents complained about unauthorized increases in taxi fares at the plaza.

The chart detailing the fare increases was removed because it violated Article 198, Fraction II, subsection “C” of the Mobility Law of Quintana Roo. Imoveqroo staff acted swiftly in response to the complaints, reminding taxi drivers of the importance of sticking to the authorized rates. They also urged drivers not to alter the predetermined prices.

Compliance with the Mobility Law of Quintana Roo is crucial for maintaining a fair and regulated transport service. Any changes to the authorized fares not only impact users but also damage trust in the public transportation system. As such, Imoveqroo is committed to regulating and overseeing taxi fares across the state.

Penalties for changing authorized transportation fares are clearly outlined in Article 198, Fraction II, subsection “C” of the Mobility Law. Non-compliance can lead to fines and sanctions for operators and concessionaires, and could even result in the revocation of permits. Imoveqroo has vowed to continue monitoring and conducting inspections to ensure fares are adhered to and quality service is provided to users.
