Pig Beach, a popular tourist spot known for its piglet attractions, has been closed since the devastating passage of Hurricane "Milton". The location, which had gained significant attention for its unique appeal, has been off-limits to the public, and the location of the piglets had been a mystery until recently.

The beach, located in Progreso, has not reopened due to ongoing maintenance work, according to Cinthia Sosa Gómez, head of the Coastal Zone directorate. The hurricane caused additional damage, further delaying the reopening as the attractions are not in optimal conditions.

In addition, the beach's space has been significantly reduced due to sand accumulation. To ensure the safety of visitors and workers, the decision was made to keep the beach closed until further notice.

Adding to the uncertainty, there appears to be a legal issue surrounding the beach. It has been discovered that there are no documents showing the granting of concessions and permits to the Progreso Municipality by federal authorities. These documents are necessary for the legal operation of the recreational destination.

As for the piglets that have been a source of concern for locals, it has been revealed that they are safe and well-cared for at a recreational farm. Despite caution tapes placed to prevent entry, some individuals have been observed attempting to gain access to the location.
