An unidentified man's decomposed body was found in a green area next to the Felipe Carrillo Puerto-José María Morelos highway. The discovery was made by a worker who was preparing to clear some undergrowth in the area.
The worker noticed something unusual in the bushes on Wednesday morning. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was a decomposing body. Witnesses at the scene reported a strong smell of decomposition, suggesting the body had been there for several days.
It's suspected that the man may have been a victim of a road accident. However, the exact circumstances leading to his death are still unclear.
Upon discovery, the local authorities in Quintana Roo were immediately notified. They arrived at the scene promptly and began investigations to identify the deceased.
